YHRK is a community kindergarten, which means that it's managed by the parents, together with the Director and staff.  The parent committee works together with the Director and staff, to:

  • manage the finances

  • employ and manage staff

  • market the centre

  • fundraise

  • perform other regulatory and managerial functions associated with running the service.

We invite you to share your knowledge and experience in these areas by nominating for committee positions: finance, secretarial, HR, web content, IT, marketing, social media, policy, maintenance, grants and fundraising.

Our parent community contributes to the kindergarten in many other ways, including:

  • Maintaining the kindy grounds

  • Washing toys and dress ups

  • Participating in fundraising events such as bake sales, sausage sizzles and trivia nights
